Welcome.

I am here because I have a passionate belief in the power of psychotherapy to heal. I began my own journey in personal therapy over thirteen years ago, and it has radically changed my life. It is a rare experience in modern life for two people to give each other their undivided attention for an hour, but when we do, the effect can be transformative.

This work can be mysterious, and often as much art as science, but I have the utmost faith that this relationship can reshape a person for the better.

My time with every person centers on an exploration of meaning and being. I want to get to know what it is like to be you, and how you assign meaning to your life and experiences. I work with a wide variety of identities and concerns, but some areas of particular interest for me include men’s issues and anger, religious trauma and spiritual abuse, and couples work.

I am a licensed mental health counselor in Washington (#MC70007962), and I hold a master’s degree from Seattle University in Existential Phenomenological psychology. I meet with people in person in the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle, as well as virtually, but I find the experience of being in the same room together to be especially powerful. I encourage everyone I work with to meet in person if they can.

I became a therapist later in life, after a long career as a small business owner in the hospitality industry. I am a voracious reader, a lifelong student, and a lover of the outdoors.
